Refund policy

This policy sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Nothing on this page takes those rights away.

If it arrives faulty or damaged

Tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you, whichever you prefer. Email theperiodkit@gmail.com or WhatsApp +27 68 061 3753 with your order number, and a photo if you can. Do not package anything up until we have answered you, because we arrange the collection ourselves. You pay nothing to send a faulty item back.

That 14 day promise is ours, and it is separate from the law. Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe, or not fit for their ordinary purpose, and within those six months you choose whether we repair it, replace it, or refund you. Our 14 day promise is us moving faster than the law asks. It does not shorten your six months.

If you change your mind

Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives you seven days from delivery to cancel this order without giving a reason and without a penalty. To use it, tell us within those seven days and send the item back unused and in its original packaging.

You pay the cost of sending it back to us. That is the only charge, and it is the direct cost of return that section 44(3) allows. We refund the full purchase price within 30 days of the cancellation.

How to start a return

Email theperiodkit@gmail.com or WhatsApp +27 68 061 3753 with your order number and what happened. One person reads every message and answers, usually the same day during the week.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the method you paid with. Once we have processed it, your bank or card provider decides how quickly it lands, usually a few working days.

What we cannot take back

An item damaged after delivery through misuse or an accident, and an item returned without its original packaging when you are cancelling under the seven day right. Neither of these limits your rights under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act if the item was defective when it reached you.
